Dr. Jiyoung Lee is a distinguished Principal Researcher at the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology (KRIBB), bringing over two decades of academic and scientific expertise to the field of biotechnology. She earned her Ph.D. from Gyeongsang National University in August 2006, following her M.S. in 2001 and B.S. from Jinju National University in 1999. Her international research experience includes a visiting scholar position at Purdue University from 2004 to 2007 and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago from 2007 to 2012, where she later served as a Research Professional until 2015. Since joining KRIBB in 2015, she has progressed through roles as Brainpool Scientist, Junior Researcher, Senior Researcher, and currently serves as Principal Researcher from March 2024. Additionally, she has contributed to academic training as a Professor in Biotechnology at the University of Science and Technology (UST) since March 2022. Dr. Lee has produced 72 scientific documents, which have collectively received 810 citations from 773 citing works, reflecting the reach and influence of her research. Her h-index of 15 demonstrates a consistent record of impactful publications and sustained academic relevance across her career.
