Dr Ismail Khan earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Business from Sunway Business School, Sunway University, Malaysia. His doctoral research, titled “The System Perspective of Sustainable HRM in the Textile Sector of Pakistan,” made a significant contribution to the field of sustainable human resource management and was highlighted in a special issue announced by Emerald Publishing on GRI-based sustainability in developing economies. Prior to his PhD, he completed a Master of Science in Management Sciences from COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad campus, with a thesis focused on board diversity and the quality of corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosures in Pakistan. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) from the University of Science and Technology Bannu, where he was awarded a Bronze Medal and a distinction certificate for his exceptional academic performance.

Dr. Khan is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Visiting) in the Department of Business Administration at Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan. He teaches a range of courses including Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Corporate Governance, Islamic Finance, Business Management, and sustainability-focused subjects such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He previously worked as a Lecturer in Management Sciences at Imperial Science School and College in Bannu, where he taught finance and management courses to undergraduate and commerce students, and contributed to the development of academic curricula. Earlier in his career, he served as the Head Accountant at Karwan Technical Institute in Bannu, where he managed fee collection, salary processing, and various administrative accounting tasks. He also gained practical banking experience during his internship at Habib Bank Limited, Domel Branch, where he assisted in account openings, remittances, bill clearing, and document dispatch.
